What is Sea Glass?
Sea glass refers to naturally worn fragments of glass, resembling polished stones, that are discovered on shorelines bordering saltwater bodies.
Naturally produced sea glass originates as pieces of glass from broken bottles, broken tableware, or even shipwrecks.
Through physical and chemical weathering, glass from undergoes a transformation into frosted, smooth pieces.
As each piece is graciously shaped by the forces of nature, it can take 20–40 years (sometimes even as much as 100–200 years!) to acquire its characteristic texture and shape.
